The Project Manager is the focus point of contact with the Client. Internally, the Manager defines project milestones and coordinates the work of discipline engineers. Issues unresolved at the discipline level are brought to the attention of the Managers and senior management. The Project Manager monitors the scope of the Contract and ensures that the work is accomplished on schedule, within budget and with quality.
To ensure the schedule is met, the Project Manager conducts regular meetings with the client and with the project team. The Project maintains a list of overdue deliverables or delinquent responses and critical items are flagged for the attention of the Discipline Managers.
In accordance with the spirit of ISO 9001, customer satisfaction is the goal of the project. The customer perception of GIBSIN's performance is a true indicator of the degree of satisfaction. Periodically, the Project Manager will request, in the form of a questionnaire, the client to grade GIBSIN's performance. Management takes the feedback seriously and endeavors to continuously improve in succeeding surveys.
All GIBSIN's project managers have solid technical background and have worked as discipline engineers on multiple projects. Most have relatively long tenure with the Company. Their familiarity with the Company's structure and its disciplines helps to facilitate the work.
In order to achieve the completion of projects on time, within budget, and at the best of quality, GIBSIN adopt Microsoft Project or Primavera software for the project management. In addition, GIBSIN also developed Configuration Management System programs based on the client requirements. These include the numbering system, change controls, version controls and audit system for managing project progress, documents, correspondences and drawings. The project progress are calculated on the basis of Work Breakdown Structure(WBS) to manage the project scope, cost and schedule. This system allows the clients to access the project information through the internet network.
